The “Golden Triangle of India “represents the most famous tourist route in the country. It is a perfect introduction to the colors, scents, and most emblematic places of India, and crowded bazaars, tranquil temples, and majestic mosques will lead you to discover the three most popular destinations: Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. It is a concentration of history, culture, and traditions, which embodies the essence of the country. For those who have never visited India, this tour is a good introduction to its discovery, as well as it offers the opportunity for a soft approach to a complex country full of contradictions. The tour takes its name from the triangle that the three cities form by joining them on a map. The itinerary starts from the capital to cross the regions of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to discover the gold of India and the extraordinary historical and religious attractions that are encountered along the way.
What you will see?
As anticipated the tour starts from Delhi and leads to explore the most important sights of the city from the Red Fort to the Qutub Minar, from the India Gate to the Lotus Temple and Jama Masjid Mosque.
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is known as the “pink city” for its fascinating center made up of characteristic pink brick buildings. We will visit historic attractions such as the Hawa Mahal (the beautiful Palace of the Winds), the impressive Jaipur City Palace, the Albert Museum, Jantar Mantar, a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, the wonderful Amber Fort and Panna Meena ka Kund, an eight-story step well. The city is also renowned for traditional craftsmanship and design and you will enjoy a walking tour of Bapu Market, Jaipur’s local Bazaar.
On the way to Agra, we will visit Fatehpur Sikri. The city that was once the proud capital of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century now stands deserted as a well-preserved ghost town. It was abandoned by its occupants after only 15 years due to an insufficient water supply. Agra The magnificent Taj Mahal is of course the first and most important of Agra’s monuments and nothing can prepare you for it. At dawn, the Taj is even more majestic and you can appreciate even better the vastness and regal splendor of the mausoleum. We will visit also Agra Fort, from its walls, you can admire the Taj Mahal that stands in the distance.
